One of BC’s Top Employers for 2018, Ritchie Bros. Financial Services (RBFS), is now hiring.
The firm is seeking account managers and they’re hosting a sales hiring fair on Wednesday, June 27 at their BC headquarters in Burnaby.
The Financial Services team specializes in equipment financing solutions for construction, transportation, agriculture and other industries. The revenue driven by this team increased by 43% in quarter 1 of 2018. And this explosive growth has propelled their hiring demand.
But you don’t have to take our word on the matter (or the fact that commission is uncapped for sales positions). We spoke to Ritchie Bros. Financial Services’ director of sales, Chris Quinn, to find out what makes this company stand out from the noise.
Can you tell us what makes your company one of BC’s Top Employers for 2018?

We tend to be far less focused on a resume and/or previous experience of a potential candidate, as we are making sure that they have the right ‘DNA’ for the job, as well as ensuring that the job will deliver on their expectations for what they’re seeking in a career.”

What kind of experience is needed for the account manager position?

How would you describe a typical workday at RBFS?
“We have access to North America’s largest database of used heavy equipment buyers. Each morning, the sales team comes into the office with leads of winning bidders populated from the prior day’s auctions. Many of these customers are already pre-approved for financing or leasing, so we reach out to find the structure and terms of their deal. Each day there’s a team huddle and we ensure every team member has a weekly one-on-one with their manager. We tend to put a lot of focus on our people and their development, which we believe is a key factor to success.”
