It’s coming.
It seems to have taken a while for BC Storm 2016 to ramp up, but it’s happening. Oh, it’s happening.
As of Friday morning more than 8,400 customers in the Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast are without power, and that number may increase as the storm continues to roll through the province.
There are over 2,400 customers without power on Vancouver Island as well.
The outages in the Lower Mainland are largely concentrated in the Langley/White Rock area.
BC Hydro is tweeting out locations of outages and whether or not crews are on-site.
Crews are en route to an outage affecting 1800 in #Abbotsford. Please check back for updates after arrival here: https://t.co/W5pbgOoteF pic.twitter.com/6JkClhTMlf
