The retail sector in B.C. has rebounded for the first time this year after slower retail sales in the first five months of the year. In June, retails sales were up 2.7%.
Alberta led the country with an astounding 7.7% month over month. The national average was 3.1%.
It should be noted that sales rose in just three areas
- new car dealers
- health and personal care
- gas stations
The coming months will be interesting to see if retail spending is on the rise or June was just a blip in the radar
