
It was a warm welcome home from PyeongChang 2018 for a number of Canadian Olympians at Vancouver International Airport on Monday.

And as they made their way through the airport arrivals area, “fans and staff were were singing O Canada as the athletes walked out,” a spokesperson for YVR told Daily Hive.

Some of the athletes who touched down at YVR today included figure skater Patrick Chan, gold-medal-winning-halfpipe-skier Cassie Sharpe.

In its best-ever medal-count, Canada won a total of 29 medals at the Olympics, 13 of which were won by BC-based athletes.
“Congratulations to all the athletes, and especially our B.C. members of Team Canada,” said Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Lisa Beare. “I’m thrilled to see how well Team Canada has done.”
