BC Lions announce $5 tickets for kids 12 and under at home opener

The BC Lions want you to bring your kid to their home opener and they’re giving you a pretty good reason to do it.

Tickets for the first game of the season on June 25th against the Calgary Stampeders will be $5 for kids 12 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Wednesday at 10 a.m.

“Football is all about family and we’re delighted to kick-off the season with this promotion,” said Lions President and CEO Dennis Skulsky.

With a home attendance of 21,290, the BC Lions ranked second last in CFL attendance last season. They’ll hope to get attendance back up to around the 28,000 mark where they were just two years ago.

BC made the playoffs last season, finishing third in the West Division last season with a 7-11 record.

The Lions are currently in Kamloops for training camp. They’ll travel to Saskatchewan for their first preseason game of the season against the Roughriders on June 11.
