B.C. is home to some of the world’s most beautiful natural wonders, and also some of the world’s best hotels, and a spa at one hotel is getting some praise for the serenity it offers.

Just a couple of weeks ago, CN Traveller put out a list of the world’s best hotel spas in 2026.

Among the various hotels were establishments in Rwanda, Montana, Florida and Texas.

The spa at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, which recently received a bit of an overhaul, got a nod too. CN Traveller also called Whistler one of the country’s best destinations overall.

“With a bustling village and year-round stream of discerning clientele, Whistler remains one of the best destinations in Canada for discerning travelers, and the recent overhaul of the Four Seasons Resort’s spa is leaning into its alpine setting, going well beyond the typical ‘après-ski massage’ fare,” CN Traveller states.

CN says that natural light and warm-hued materials at the spa “emulate the natural beauty of Whistler itself.”

There’s also a lounge described as a “relaxation sanctuary” inspired by the constellation Ursa Major called the Ursa Lounge for before and after treatments, where “guests slip on noise-cancelling headphones for guided meditations.

“Particularly of note is the spa’s showcasing of Sķwálwen Botanicals, a botanically driven, Indigenous-owned skincare brand,” CN adds.

If you’re planning a stay at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, CN Traveller even has a recommendation for what treatment to book at the spa.

“Four Seasons worked closely with Sķwálwen Botanicals to craft the ‘Magic of the Mountains’ experience: an initial full-body wild rose scrub, followed by a warm body wrap made with nutrient-rich usnea lichen, and then a wild rose facial massage and full-body massage.”

It adds that the treatment draws on Squamish knowledge and ethnobotany.

“It’s a rare hotel spa treatment that doesn’t just reference place, but feels genuinely informed by it.”
