BC has the highest child poverty rate in Canada – and you can do something about it
It’s no secret that British Columbia has the highest child poverty rate in Canada, but there is something you can do to help.
When you donate to the Vancouver registered charity CLICK (Contributing to Lives of Inner City Kids) by September 30, Chimp – a Canadian website which helps charities raise funds as effectively and economically as possible – and their partner, the Bienfaisance Foundation, will match your gift (to a maximum of $250).
This means CLICK will have more funds to direct to programs for Vancouver’s inner city kids this October.
In its 10-year history, CLICK has directed more than $250,000 to programs that feed inner city children and youth, provide safe after-school care, give them literacy support and allow them to participate in sports, the arts and camps. And because CLICK is run by a community-based volunteer board of directors, the charity’s administration costs are under 5% – so the vast majority of donations go straight to helping children and youth living in poverty in Vancouver.
So make a donation and see it doubled – just go to: https://chimp.net/campaigns/
