Here are a few of the messages that people have left:

Joan Eistetter: Just a very simple Thank You for being in our area and protecting our community, families and friends. You are the bravest of brave in my opinion and Thank You is hardly enough…..My prayers and positive energy are sent your way as you continue to do your work…

Stephanie Hopkins: A huge thank you to all the women and men who are out fighting BC’s wildfires, and other fires around the province.

Justin: Stay safe – your efforts are not unnoticed nor unappreciated. You are saving real lives every minute out there.

Lelainia Lloyd: Thank you to all firefighters & first responders. You guys & gals are doing on hell of a job in unimaginable conditions. May you stay safe & go home to your families. Thinking of your spouses, partners & children as the wait for your return & appreciating the sacrifices they make as well. It’s going to be a long fire season. We will be careful in our neck of the woods. Huge respect for the job you all do. Take care!

Alicia Allen: Today in Victoria we have had an ominous orange smoke screen sky above our heads. It’s been eerie and silent in my neighbourhood. I know from speaking to many friends in town that a lot of people are on edge because of it. I can’t begin to imagine what it would be like to march into the inferno that you are all facing on a daily basis right now. My hat goes off to you all. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for what you all do. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart. I am sending well wishes every day to all of those working on the fires and everyone who is affected by them.

Lisa: Thank you so much for the job that you do. Our beautiful province is a better place to live because of generous and brave people like you firefighters who risk your lives to keep others safe!
