
High winds Saturday prompted BC Ferries to cancel a number of sailings between Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
Between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay (Victoria), the 11:00 am ferry departing Swartz Bay and the 1:00 pm sailing departing Tsawwassen have both been cancelled.
Between Tsawwassen and Duke Point (Nanaimo), the 10:15 am and 12:45 pm sailings departing Tsawwassen have been cancelled. Sailings departing Duke point at 10:15 am and 12:45 am were also cancelled.
Between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay (Nanaimo), BC Ferries has cancelled the 10:40 am and 1 pm sailings departing Horseshoe Bay and the two sailings scheduled to leave Departure Bay at 10:40 am and 1 pm.

BC Ferries is keeping an updated list of all cancellations on its website.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations,” BC Ferries said on its website. “We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so.”
