BC Health Officials are scheduled to provide a live COVID-19 update on Wednesday afternoon, including updated epidemiological modelling.
This update comes after the province recorded 444 COVID-19 cases in the province on Tuesday, the lowest daily total since November 5.

On Tuesday, BC Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry broke down the new cases by region. From the province’s last update, there were 79 new cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 256 new cases in the Fraser Health region, nine in the Island Health region, 78 in the Interior Health region, and 22 in the Northern Health region.
As of Tuesday there were 9,481 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. There are 357 individuals currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 84 of whom are in intensive care.
There were 12 new COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday, for a total of 777 deaths in British Columbia.
BC also extended its State of Emergency through the end of the day on January 25, 2021.
