A new list of Canadian companies with the most admired corporate culture has just been released, and several employers based in B.C. have made the cut.

The Canada’s Most Admired Awards program, founded by Waterstone Human Capital, celebrates workplaces “where the very best practices in high-performance culture and leadership are celebrated.”

Nine B.C. companies were honoured in four categories for their culture’s positive impact on growth and performance.

“These awards recognize the very best in high-performance corporate culture, those leaders and organizations that have built and nurtured performance-driven cultures and that are at the forefront of culture best practices,” said Marty Parker, President and CEO of Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of Canada’s Most Admired program, in a release.

“This year’s winners actively craft high-performance cultures and serve as an inspiration for others who want to do the same.”

B.C. had several top performers, with Metro Vancouver and Greater Vancouver companies represented.

Digital marketing optimization agency Conversion from Vancouver and hospitality and marine tourism company Oak Bay Marine Group from Victoria were spotlighted in the Emerging category.

In the Enterprise category, Coquitlam fresh produce distribution and marketing company The Oppenheimer Group (Oppy) was lauded for its corporate culture.

Richmond’s HME Medical Distribution Ltd. placed in the Growth category, while Vancouver’s Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon and Victoria’s Royal Roads University made it on the Non-Profit and Broader Public Sector list.

Four Metro Vancouver employers were also spotlighted in the mid-market category, including Cactus Restaurants Ltd., Microserve (Burnaby, BC), Mr. Lube + Tires, and Nicola Wealth.

Pamela Lee, President and CEO of Mr. Lube + Tires, was also named to the list of Canada’s Most Admired CEOs of 2025.

B.C. companies have been raking in the accolades this week, with 15 employers recognized for treating their workers best.

Government positions appear to be some of the province’s best, with the BC Public Service and one health authority recognized for bolstering workers’ well-being.

Some B.C.-grown private sector companies, including a Burnaby-based law software company and a well-known credit union, also got the nod.
