Battery drop off at Science World today

Today, Wednesday, April 24, Call2Recycle will be joined by BC Lion’s quarterback, Travis Lulay, and Leo the Lion at Science World to host a one-of-a-kind battery drive featuring a specially constructed, full-size battery scale.

You are encouraged to bring used batteries (under 5 kg each) and old cellphones to Science World to help tip the scale and lift Travis off the ground! Head on over and learn about batteries and battery recycling for a greener planet.

 

WHEN:   Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

WHERE:    Science World (Lobby area outside of the Our World: BMO Sustainability Gallery)

SPECIAL EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Meet Travis Lulay and Leo the Lion face-to-face, take a photo and get autographs!
  • Receive a 2-for-1 admission discount to Science World by bringing five or more batteries (under 5 kg each) and/or cellphones on event day. Please note that Call2Recycle does not accept car batteries. This offer is not transferable and is only valid on April 24.
  • Enter to win prizes by bringing used batteries and cellphones for recycling.
