Bash for Bright Futures event by The Learning Disabilities Association of Vancouver

Dec 20 2017, 1:42 am

On Thursday, October 15, help give local Vancouver children a vital boost through a worthy non-profit. Support The Learning Disabilities Association of Vancouver (LDAV) and help raise funds at its Bash for Bright Futures event at The Imperial Vancouver on Main Street, one of Vancouver’s premier private venues.

The event celebrates 45 years of LDAV’s role in the community helping Lower Mainland kids with learning disabilities succeed. General tickets are $50, however Vancity Buzz followers, college students and teachers will receive special promotional pricing (please inquire via email for details).

Bring your friends, family and colleagues to this casual event and enjoy live music by The New Shackletons, food, door prizes, a cash bar and award winning actor/writer Jackson Davies as MC (well known for his role in the iconic Canadian west coast TV series, The Beachcombers). Also help spread the word through your social media networks for this great cause.

Headquartered in Vancouver, LDAV is a non-profit organization and registered charity that provides accessible remedial teaching services for children and youth with learning disabilities. With one-on-one remedial teaching and social skills support, LDAV strives to ensure that every child with a learning disability is diagnosed and has the family, school and community support they need to realize their goals. It manages a roster of trained tutors, many of whom are certified B.C. teachers, with a wide range of backgrounds. Come help celebrate its success.

For more information about the event, LDAV, volunteering and how you can help can be found at www.ldav.ca.
