UPDATED: Obama owes Harper 2 cases of beer for losing both Olympic hockey wagers

UPDATED: U.S. President Barack Obama owes Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper two cases of beer.

The two leaders made a bet during the Three Amigos Summit in Mexico earlier this week over Olympic ice hockey outcomes.

The first wager was on the Canadian women’s hockey team gold medal game, which Canada won in a stunning 3-2 overtime comeback. The second wager was on today’s semi-finals and was another victory for Canada with a score of 1-0.

The leader of the losing nation will have to send the other leader a case of beer for each game loss.

Shortly after the women’s hockey final result, Harper tweeted the following:

I look forward to watching the game later and @barackobama, I look forward to my case of beer. #Sochi2014 #WeAreWinter @HC_Women

Earlier this morning following the men’s hockey semi-final:

Both leaders made similar hockey wagers during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. President Obama followed through by sending Prime Minister Harper cases of Molson Canadian and Yuengling.
