Bambii: Vancouver Based Vegan Clothing Line
Vancouver has a new vegan clothing line.
It’s vibrant, unique and in line with current trends and, most importantly, it’s eco-friendly and animal-cruelty free.
Launched in 2012 by Vancouver based designer Caitlyn Kellar, Bambii clothing was spawned out of Kellar’s passion for art and love for animals, people and style.
“Some people wear clothes and are completely blind about what goes on in the factories that manufacture them,” said Kellar. “The purpose of Bambii is not only to generate awareness, but also to deliver original style.”
Vegan cruelty-free clothing means that absolutely no animals were harmed in the making. Bambii clothing is also environmentally friendly, and not manufactured in sweatshops.
“We use organic cotton, bamboo and hemp harvested fabrics, print with eco-friendly ink and use recycled tags,” explained Kellar. “Each piece is carefully made locally with the help of independent manufacturers and I oversee every part of the process.”
The Bambii line, which has the slogan “cruelty-free swagger”, currently includes cut-off tees, hoodies and snapbacks and will later see a release of items, such as toques, denim, vests and more.
Bambii clothes can be found now in the online shop here and will soon be available in some Vancouver boutiques.
