Ballet BC presents Straight UP!

DH Vancouver Staff Jan 11, 2014 2:04 pm

Mark your calendars for Straight Up on Wednesday, January 15! Get up close and personal with Ballet BC dancers, as they talk about their experiences through a night of discussion and networking.

Wine and light refreshments will be served. Attendance is free for Ballet BC Up members who RSVP, and $20 for guests (which can be applied towards an Up membership).

Ballet BC’s young patrons group, Ballet BC Up, is a new group for urban professionals aged 21 to 45, designed to build a community of young minded professionals passionate about dance, art and education and networking opportunities.

“Ballet BC Up is a tremendous undertaking by a group of dedicated volunteers and young patrons of Ballet BC,” says Branislav Henselmann, Executive Director of Ballet BC. “Their enthusiasm for Ballet BC has led to the formation of Ballet BC Up, through which we hope to encourage more young people to explore ballet, so that the company is sustained by the next generation of patrons in the years to come.”

Membership in Ballet BC Up includes exclusive access to a series of exciting experiences with Ballet BC including intimate sneak previews in the studio, a dance class taught by Ballet BC dancers, networking receptions and preshow receptions at Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Ballet BC Up Memberships are $50 with a season subscription at any level or $100, which includes a complimentary performance ticket.*
