Badly burned body found on roadside in Langley

Metro Vancouver’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is looking into the suspicious circumstances of badly burnt body found on a roadside in Langley.

According to homicide investigators, Langley RCMP was called to the grisly scene on Tuesday night at the 24700 block of 64 Avenue near Highway 1 after someone reported discovering a body.

Early investigations by IHIT indicates the incident was a homicide. An autopsy will also be conducted on Thursday.

Police are unable to identify the victim as the human remains were severely burnt. There was also no identification on the body.

Few details have been released by investigators, but more information could be released in the coming days. Anyone with information that could be helpful to police is asked to call the IHIT tipline at 1-877-551-4448 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
