If you’ve been over to Queen Elizabeth Park lately, you may have noticed the antique circus-like tent, and wondered: What’s going on in there?

Since its premiere on November 1, 2018, Canada’s first ever Gourmet Cabaret Cirque, Bacio Rosso, has been enchanting locals with a show that is unlike any Vancouver has ever seen. In a fusion of circus acts, comedy, and gourmet cuisine, it is a show that should not be missed.

Critics have raved about the three-hour performance, which has been described as Moulin Rouge meets Cabaret meets Gourmet. With surprises at every turn in every corner of the tent with jaw-dropping acts, the world-class performers weave together a tale combining elements of magic, romance, and comedy for a fully interactive experience.

The illustrious cast is led by New York cabaret royalty Lady Rizo, and master of improvisation Kevin Kent, and includes a world magic champion, a trapeze duo, an award-winning Spanish juggler, an aerial dance and contortion artist, an internationally acclaimed balancing artist, and renowned comedy clown characters.

That’s all we’ll spoil — you’ll have to attend the show to find out more!

The evening also incorporates a four-course gourmet meal curated by award-winning chef Adam Pegg from La Quercia. Specializing in authentic Italian cuisine, Chef Pegg was the first Canadian to be awarded Master of Italian Gastronomy from The Italian Slow Food School.

You can catch some snippets of what to expect in the show here, but experiencing it firsthand is the only way to truly understand! If you’re interested and haven’t had a chance to catch the performance, don’t worry — you’re in luck. In response to overwhelming demand for tickets, Bacio Rosso has extended their performance dates until March 10.
