Vancouver men make a splash in Bachelorette premiere

Two Vancouver men made it on to The Bachelorette premiere on Monday night – but only one got a rose.

Jonathan Hamilton, 29, and Daniel Maguire, 31, tried their best to impress bachelorette JoJo Fletcher on the latest season of the hit ABC show.

Tech sales rep Hamilton even went so far as to wear a kilt with nothing underneath, in honour of his Scottish heritage – but it wasn’t meant to be and Fletcher was not impressed.

Meanwhile, male model Maguire spent the show judging the other guys, got drunk, stripped down to his briefs, jumped in the pool – and made it through to the next round.

There was a third Vancouver connection in form of 27-year-old Jordan Rodgers, brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was part of the BC Lions’ 2014 practice roster.
