With a brand new stat holiday, Family Day, approaching on February 11, the province has dedicated February 11 to 17 to BC restaurants.
Restaurant Week celebrates the restaurant industry’s role in the economy as it employs over 170,000 people and generates more than 10 billion dollars in annual sales. Restaurant Week also acknowledges the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association’s (BCRFA) work in promoting BC restaurants. The BCRFA is a group of restaurant professionals seeking to build a better business environment for its 40,000 restaurant members. Their next initiative includes convincing Vancouver City Council to a Vancouver Restaurant Week.
