Another popular fast food chain is changing their burgers in Canada

Hot on the heels of McDonald’s Canada, A&W is the lastest fast food chain that is switching their burgers up for the better across the country.

The chain, known for its adorable burger family and classic root beer, announced it will no longer be using processed cheese for its burgers.

As of October 1, 2018, A&W will be serving their eats with real cheddar cheese, made without artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives, made using 100% Canadian milk.

“A&W is proud to support dairy farmers and master cheesemakers across the country. All of A&W’s cheeses (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Jalapeno Monterey Jack and cheese curds) are made in Canada. Whether you’re ordering a classic Teen Burger, Bacon & Egger for breakfast, or a bowl of poutine topped with gooey cheese curds, A&W guarantees they’ll be served with real, Canadian cheese,” read the release.

Looks like we have another reason to head to A&W that has nothing to do with recently-restocked Beyond Meat Burger.
