American rapper, record producer, actor and fashion designer A$AP Rocky is bringing his talent to Vancouver and will be performing live on Canada Day.

Live Nation announced the artist’s tour on Tuesday, which will see him performing all over the globe with 42 dates, including several Canadian stops.

A$AP Rocky, also known as Rakim Mayers, will be performing live at Rogers Arena on July 1.

The tour, which commences on May 27 in Chicago, is in celebration of his latest album, Don’t Be Dumb, which was released on Jan. 16.

The album received generally positive reviews, and Live Nation says that “unprecedented hype” helped push the album past a million pre-saves on Spotify, “making it hip-hop’s most pre-saved album on the platform.”

While A$AP Rocky’s last full-scale tour was back in 2019, the rapper has performed at festivals like Lollapalooza and Camp Flog Gnaw in recent years.

General on sale will go live on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. local time. Live Nation also announced pre-sale details.

“To participate in A$AP Rocky’s Artist Presale in North America on Friday, January 23rd at 10:00AM local time, you must sign up at livemu.sc/asaprocky by Wednesday, January 21st at 10:00PM ET. Artist Presales for this tour are hosted by multiple ticketing sites but anyone who signs up can join the sale,” it said in the concert announcement.

Other Canadian stops include Toronto (May 31), Edmonton (July 3), and Calgary (July 4).

Live Nation points out that A$AP Rocky, who has over 20 million followers on Instagram, is currently the creative director for Ray-Ban and Puma.
