VcB: So, why Bunnie Bar?
Tania: I get asked this a lot. And really, Bunnie Bar just a hoppy place you can go to get your daily dose, serving, shot — whatever you want to call it — of… me. Sound narcissistic? I’m not that bad. Whether it’s an outfit post, a new trend I’m obsessing over, style tips — or lack thereof, random life stories or awkward videos, I’m documenting them on my blog and sharing the fun with you! I shopped. I hopped. And then I blogged. Really.
VcB: What are some of your favorite style tips?
T: I. Adore. Accessories. I really believe that accessories — jewelry, shoes, bags, etc. — make an outfit. Put someone in jeans and a tee and they can either look frumpy and boring, or edgy and chic. Change up the style and color of accessories and you’ve got a whole different look!
If you’ve been following Bunnie Bar for a while, you’ll know that to me, indulging in luxury fashion is “nice to have,” but not always practical. Having style and being fashionable isn’t correlated to the brand you’re wearing or the price you paid, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! I’m a fan of those who can see past labels and still choose quality pieces that look amazing. You can be fabulous and make heads turn, even if you’re wearing something from Forever 21 or Urban Behavior.
Lastly, don’t forget to look for bold colors, pastels, neons, florals, lace, DIYs, arm parties and accessories that make a statement this season! I’m so obsessed!
VcB: Anything exciting you want to share with us?
T: It’s funny you ask, because a bunnie’s life is usually pretty…unexciting and routine. If you asked me a few months ago, I’d tell you exactly that — I’m good. You know, same old. But I made a vow to myself to make a change. Create excitement. Take on challenges. Starting with a comprehensive list of goals and resolutions for the year. It’s hopping so far, and it’s about to get better…. because I’m going to Asia at the end of April for a month! It may not sound like such a big deal, but I’m stoked for a few reasons — I haven’t been to Asia (or anywhere overseas for that matter since I was 5), I’ve never been away from Vancouver for such a long period of time,
and I’ve never done anything so gutsy before in my life!
