While the rain dampens Vancouverites’ dreams of sunny vacations, one event on Friday, May 14 promises an exotic escape: the Arab Latin Fiesta. Founded in 2005 by Israel-born Cuban dancer Chen Lizra of Latidos Productions and Lebanese-born Mona Chaaban of Mona’s Fine Lebanese Cuisine, the 5th edition of the event is back after a three year hiatus to re-stimulate the senses of diners and party goers with the sounds, smells, and tastes of the Middle Eastern and Latin worlds.
Attended by 300 people each night during its three-year run, the event fuses the belly dancing of the Middle East, and the seductive and sexy Latin world. A hookah room will be open, and two shows entertain diners and spectators each night.
