Remember that oversized Canadian Flag on Georgia street, across the Vancouver Art Gallery? Well, they are slowly taking apart the gigantic flag that adorned the Hotel Georgia for the past few months. Every time I walked by it after the Olympics it served as a constant reminder of the best party this city has ever thrown. I miss the Olympics.
Perhaps the flag coming down is a good thing, no more reminders of the Olympics. On that note did anyone feel that the Stanley Cup playoffs (while the Canucks were still in it) just weren’t the same this year? I sure did.
Memo to city hall, the city needs more well PLANNED and thought out festivals. Make it happen Gregor.
