Ankle injury to keep Brandon Prust out 4 to 6 weeks

Dec 20 2017, 2:16 am

The Canucks will be without the services of Brandon Prust for the next 4 to 6 weeks, as a result of an ankle injury he suffered against his former team on Tuesday.

Prust has been an effective 4th liner for the Canucks this season, picking up 5 points in 9 games. He has also been good on the penalty kill and isn’t afraid to drop the gloves, picking up 3 fighting majors.

With Prust out of the lineup, it should open up opportunities for some of Vancouver’s young players, notably Jake Virtanen and Brendan Gaunce.

While Prust tries to heal up as quick as possible, you might find him live tweeting Canucks games, as he did on Thursday.

And if you really miss him, you can find Prust and his fiancé on the show ‘Hockey Wives’.
