Longtime Vancouver business Angus Bakery & Cafe is closing its doors after more than two decades of operation.

The 3636 West Broadway Vancouver bakery opened in 1996 and operated for 24 years, serving up handcrafted pastries and bread baked daily.

Angus made the announcement late last week, saying the business would be stepping “into a new exciting chapter.”

Here’s the full closing message from Angus Bakery & Cafe.

After 24 incredible years, we have decided to close our doors on September 16 as we step into a new exciting chapter. Our bread and pastries are still being baked fresh every day until the 15th, so stop by, say hi, and we hope to see you around the neighbourhood soon 👋

From our family to you, goodbye, Kitsilano—thank you for letting us serve you all these years ❤️
