You can try on the world's first hemp-based jeans at Vancouver pop-up

The versatility of hemp is widely recognized. And when it comes to using hemp in fabric, it just keeps on giving with natural advantages like heightened protection from ultraviolet light, breathability, and water absorbency (take that, Raincover).

Sustainable online fashion brand ANARA uses over 50% hemp in the creation of their ultra-soft denim jeans for men and women, and now they’re branching out of the virtual world to host their first pop-up shop in Vancouver.

Hemp is grown using 50% less water than traditional cotton and yields 250% more fibre on the same amount of land. As a result, the brand is helping to reduce water consumption and land use, while also forgoing the use of pesticides and herbicides.

Check out ANARA on Instagram to see more styles before you visit the brand’s downtown pop-up.
