New 'Ampersand Bistro' offers designer dim sum in downtown Vancouver
It’s been a while since quaint dessert spot Mosquito quietly closed its doors in Gastown, but it looks like a new concept has just as quietly opened in its place.
Ampersand Bistro & Bar is open at 32 Water Street, and it offers patrons an array of Pan-Asian delights, including an intriguing list of “designer dim sum” dishes.

The downtown bar offers “delectable dim sum” like dumplings, wontons, and beef shumai with house sauces and garnishes alongside craft cocktails and wine.
The modern dining room, offering a curated list of dim sum dishes, has only been open a few weeks.

The new spot also offers West Coast-inspired tapas dishes and a happy hour from 3 to 6 pm daily.
Find Ampersand open Tuesday to Thursday from 11:30 am to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 1 am, and Sunday from 11:30 am to midnight.
