AMBER ALERT: 2-year-old Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette abducted in Alberta

UPDATE: Police have arrested a suspect in relation to this Amber Alert, however Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette has still not been found.

A two-year-old girl named Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette has been abducted from her residence in Blairmore, Alberta and RCMP have since issued an Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan-wide Amber Alert.

Crowsnest Pass RCMP, located just east of the B.C.-Alberta border, says Dunbar-Blanchette was abducted at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, September 13. She is described as having straight light brown hair with bangs and brown eyes.

The suspect is currently unknown but reportedly fled the residence at high speed in a newer model white van with a large rear antenna with a flag attached.

The Calgary Sun has also just reported that the toddler’s father, Terry Blanchette, was found stabbed to death in his home on Monday morning. Police have not confirmed if the two incidents are related.
