Vancouver filmed "Almost Human" cancelled

Variety is reporting that the Vancouver-filmed Fox series Almost Human has been cancelled. It come as sad news for the local film industry as the sci-fi series has been cancelled after just one season.

It was executively produced and created by Fringe’s J.H. Wyman, who chose Vancouver to shoot the Massachusetts storyline. Almost Human starred Star Trek‘s Karl Urban and Michael Ealy as a cop and a human android partner in the year 2048.

Almost Human debuted with strong number, however, as the season went on the ratings dipped. Its numbers were similar number to The Following, which has been renewed for a third season.
