The Alien is coming to Vancouver on Oct 18-19

The Alien from the movie is coming to Vancouver for the first time, and will be at Vancouver Halloween Parade & Expo on Oct 18 and 19.

The Academy Award-winning Tom Woodruff Jr. is a Special Effects Character Creator and performer. He won Oscar 1992 (Visual Effects), Saturn Award 1993, 1998 (Best Special Effects) and BAFTA Film Award 1993 (Best Special Effects). Tom is known for the creation of the Alien special effects and performed as the Alien including Aliens (1986), Alien: Resurrection (1997), AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007).

This is the first time that Tom comes to Vancouver with the Alien props from the movie, and fans can meet him and the Alien during Vancouver Halloween Parade & Expo.

Halloween Parade & Expo is a parade and two day convention of films, comics, anime and cosplay. The parade brings family friendly Halloween celebration to downtown with marching band, music, floats and thousands of cosplayers. The route includes Granville (from Davie to Smithe), Smithe (from Granville to Howe) and Howe (from Smithe to Davie). The Expo is held at the Grand Ballroom of Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, 1088 Burrard St, Vancouver.

Parade schedule: Sunday Oct 19, 2014: 12 PM – 3 PM
