Alexander Keith’s is celebrating 215 years of the man, the myth, the legend: Alexander Keith and the beer named after him.
To this day, the original Alexander Keith’s brewery – established in 1820 – still stands in the heart of downtown Halifax. Nearly 189 years later, Alexander Keith’s beer is still brewed his way – slowly, carefully, taking the time to get it right.
October 5, 2010 marks Alexander Keith’s 215th birthday- and it’s become a nation-wide celebration. A celebration tour is going down in Vancouver and to commemorate Mr. Keith’s birthday we have a little gift pack for one lucky reader!
The Celebration Tour:
Celebrate Alexander Keith’s 215th birthday and join the pub crawl dedicated to the “Father of Great Beer” himself, starting 5 p.m. on October 5th at the Atlantic Trap and Gill.
Participants should come decked out in traditional Celtic swag and will be accompanied by the Alexander Keith’s girls, bag pipers and have the opportunity to taste all of the different offerings from Alexander Keith’s along the way.
The crawl will start at the Atlantic Trap and Gill and includes a stop at Ceili’s and the Lamplighter. Tasks, games and challenges at each location will earn you the chance to win a trip for two to Halifax for Alexander Keith’s Birthday in 2011.
Registration for the pub crawl takes place at the Atlantic Trap and Gill at 5 p.m. There will be limited tickets available at this time so it will be done on a first come first serve basis.
