This fall, AIR MILES is taking Canadian Collectors on the ultimate travel experience – a Caribbean cruise! By simply swiping their AIR MILES Card at participating Partner locations, Collectors received the chance to win one of more than 1,000 staterooms aboard the AIR MILES All Aboard Cruise. And yes, the trip also included airfare!
The cruise is on track to set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 26, taking a round-trip journey that will see stops in Cozumel, Mexico and Princess Cays, Bahamas before docking back in Florida on December 1.
While cruising, Collectors will have the chance to take advantage of a wide range of amenities and participate in all sorts of exciting activities.
This includes getting all decked out to the nines for a formal night, a massive Canada Day celebration with 3,000 Canadians aboard the ship dressed for a red and white themed party, a team night dedicated to Canadians’ love of sports where cruisers will get to wear their favourite sports team jersey, and last but not least, experiencing The Voice of the Ocean. Similar to the popular TV show, The Voice of the Ocean will give Collectors the chance to audition and train with a coach for the final competition, then go head to head with other cruisers in front of a panel of judges for the winning title.
All that, while making their way through the Caribbean. It’s basically what dreams are made of.
“I was absolutely thrilled when we got the call,” said Collector Rosemary Manton of Vernon, BC. “I’ll be taking my husband on the cruise with me – we’ve been married 48 years and just celebrated our anniversary so this is like the ultimate celebration for us!”
Collectors received over $1 billion in rewards value over the last year alone – isn’t it about time you took advantage of the Program too?
Of course, before you go on any cruise, you’ll want to know the essential tips for packing – especially if you’re a cruise virgin. So here’s what you need to know:
Roll up your clothes
Since you’re going to visit a number of different locations during the cruise, you’ll want to bring more clothing with you for that unpredictable weather. By packing strategically and rolling your clothes tightly, you’ll fit more into your luggage. Winning!
Prepare for dress codes
You don’t want to be that person who walks into a black-tie evening event wearing shorts, a band t-shirt, and flip-flops, just because you forgot to read the memo. Now you know in advance that you’ll need to pack a fancy dress or tux, and some casual attire, too.
Remember to pack your favourite toiletries, like a mini shower gel, shampoo, and the likes, in your luggage, so you can bring a piece of home with you.
Save some room in your case
If possible, leave some space in your luggage, because you’ll probably want to bring back a keepsake or two for your friends from your stop-off destinations,
