Adventure Club return for another sold-out show

Dec 19 2017, 10:12 am

Fresh off some of the world’s major music festivals, Montreal producers and DJ duo Adventure Club are back in Vancouver on April 11 for another sold out performance. Without a doubt one of the largest dubstep exports, Adventure Club have broken the barriers of their genre, creating a sweet, smooth, electronic sound and melodic vocals.

Since forming in 2011, shows by the duo- Christian Srigley and Leighton James- have been described as electrifying. This is understandable considering listening to their “Crave You” mix sends shivers down your spines. Much like their other productions, their remix of Flight Facilties’ “Crave You” is layered with melodies and echoing female vocals, and it is a sound that leaves you with a dubstep addiction you did not realize was possible.

The remix of Metric’s “Collect Call” is easily one of my favourites – of all time, seriously – and is another gem showcasing Adventure Club’s talents. For a different feel on the vocals, the remix for James Vincent McMorrow’s “We Don’t Eat” truly delivers. Adventure Club single-handedly prove that dubstep is not just the stereotypical noise and wabbles that this genre of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is associated with. The Montrealers’ productions are sexy, full of bass, beautiful vocals, and is guaranteed to get you dancing, jumping and grooving.

With their last few shows selling out, be on the lookout for Adventure Club’s return through Blueprint’s website and Facebook page. As for those attending the Friday night sold out show, get ready to be electrified- in the best way possible.

Blueprint presents the sold out Adventure Club show at the Commodore Ballroom on April 11th. Also on the bill are Vanic and Expendable Youth.

If you’re in Victoria, tickets are still available for the April 10 show at Club 9One9.
