ACME Studios art heist leaves Vancouver police mystified

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a series of paintings stolen from ACME Studios in the Downtown Eastside.

The four canvas paintings were stolen from the art studio on 112 East Hastings Street sometime between Sunday morning and Tuesday evening.

“This artwork is original and eye-catching,” said VPD Const. Jason Doucette in a release.

“Someone will recognize these paintings. We hope they do the right thing and contact police or Crime Stoppers so we can return the artwork to its owners.”
