Vancouver company to acquire all eight Accent Inns and Hotel Zed hotels
Eight hotels across British Columbia are set to change hands as Vancouver-based Synvest Group of Companies acquires the family-based business behind Accent Inns and Hotel Zed.
Mandy Farmer, the CEO of the business, announced the deal today, with the ownership change expected at the end of November 2026. The companies have not disclosed the purchase price.

The acquisition covers five Accent Inns properties: Accent Inns Vancouver Airport in Richmond, Accent Inns Burnaby, Accent Inns Victoria, Accent Inns Kelowna, and Accent Inns Kamloops.
It also includes Hotel Zed Victoria, Hotel Zed Kelowna, and Hotel Zed Tofino, along with ROAR, which is the restaurant at Hotel Zed Tofino.
All eight hotel properties combined represent roughly 800 guest rooms, with the largest being Accent Inns Vancouver Airport in Richmond, which has over 200 rooms.
All existing bookings will be honoured; the eight hotels and ROAR are continuing to operate normally.

“This is an emotional day for me and for our team. I am deeply proud of the company and culture we have built together, and it mattered enormously to me to find a new owner who understood what makes this company special,” said Farmer in a statement.
“Throughout this process, we found a shared set of values with Synvest, particularly around how we care for our people and our guests.”
Synvest is an investment and hospitality company, with an existing collection of hotel properties run through its management company, Roadside Hospitality. It says it invests with the intention of owning and developing businesses over the long term.
“For our family, hospitality has always been about people. Mandy, her family and the team have built something distinctive at Accent Inns and Hotel Zed, with a culture that genuinely cares about its people and guests,” said Azim Virani, the founder and principal of Synvest.
Virani said Synvest wants to work with the existing teams and preserve the approach to hospitality established under Farmer and her family.
Synvest owns and operates about a dozen hotels in Western Canada, such as the Best Western Premier Chateau Granville in Downtown Vancouver.
