A young adult male in Abbotsford has been charged by police for targeting 15-year-old female girls.

According to the Abbotsford Police, 23-year-old Jeremy Roth was arrested on Monday for allegedly posing online as a 19-year-old man. He was arrested after a sting operation, lasting several weeks, when he communicated with a detective and requested to meet to engage in sexual activity.

Roth has now been charged with child luring and the Major Crime Unit of the APD is still investigating the case.

“This incident serves as a reminder for all parents to be aware of the online activities of
their children,” reads a statement by police. “In addition, parents should be familiar with all of their children’s friends and their whereabouts at all times.”
