Check out one of the world’s best airshows right here in the Lower Mainland.
Taking place August 12 to 14, the 54th Abbotsford International Airshow will feature legendary key performers including the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the US Navy Super Hornets – just to name a few. That’s not to mention the full blown festival, featuring food trucks, a licensed flight club 19+ venue, an autograph tent, and much more.
This year’s full list of key performers includes:
- Breitling Jet Team (from Europe)
- Boeing & US Navy Super Hornets
- Jack Link’s Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco
- Team Rocket (including a phenomenal night performance
- Canadian Forces Snowbirds
- Canadian Forces CF-18 Hornet
- Canadian Army Skyhawks Parachute Demonstration Team
As an added bonus, it’s Fightertown Canada this week. It’s the only place in Canada where you can see and compare a Boeing Super Hornet and Lockheed Martin F-35 side-by-side on display.
Friday evening will feature an epic twilight show with our heroes using extra lights, pyrotechnics, and even flares on their aircraft. As part of its “heroes of the sky” theme, the CF-18 Hornet will be lighting up the runway with jet afterburners. Finish that off with a fireworks finale for the perfect night.
