A 42-year-old man has been arrested and is facing two child pornography charges after police executed a search warrant at an Abbotsford home earlier this month.

The warrant and arrest were the culmination of an investigation that began in April, when police were told “an internet subscriber” had uploaded child sexual abuse material online.

In a release, Abbotsford Police said the investigation continued until the search warrant was executed on December 6.

During that search, various computer devices and cell phones were seized. Subsequent search warrants were acquired and evidence of child exploitation material was found.

This past Monday, Jeremy Allen Willms was arrested in relation to the investigation. He has been charged with Making Available Child Pornography and Possessing Child Pornography.

Willms has been released from custody under the following court ordered conditions:

  • No contact or communication with any young person under the age of 18.
  • Not to attend any public park, school ground, daycare centre, swimming pool,
playground, skating rink, community centre or recreation centre where persons
under the age of 18 might be present or might reasonably be expected to be
    present.
  • Not to possess or use any electronic device capable of accessing the Internet.

Abbotsford Police are also asking anyone who may have any further information on this case to contact them at 604-859-5225 or text 222973 (abbypd).
