
The Vancouver Canucks may not be in the playoffs, but their AHL counterparts in Abbotsford are rolling into the postseason.
The Abbotsford Canucks have been tearing up the the AHL with 17 wins over their last 20 regular season games. That helped propel them to second place in the Pacific Division behind the Colorado Eagles.
That success has given Abbotsford home-ice advantage in their first-round, best-of-three series with the Tucson Roadrunners. All three games will be hosted at the Abbotsford Centre, with Game 1 going on Wednesday night.
Game 2 is set for Thursday night, while Game 3, if needed, will go on Saturday night.

The AHL Canucks have been humming along just fine heading into the postseason, but they will getting further support from the NHL club. A laundry list of players on the NHL roster were assigned to Abbotsford last week after the regular season came to an end.
That means Kirill Kudryavtsev, Victor Mancini, Aatu Raty, Linus Karlsson, Max Sasson, Ty Mueller, and Nikita Tolopilo will join the club going into the playoffs.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the following players have been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL):

– D Victor Mancini
– F Aatu Räty
– F Linus Karlsson
– F Max Sasson
– F Ty Mueller

While the Canucks finished above Tucson in the standings, the Roadrunner won the season series, taking five of the eight games played between these two in the regular season.
Fans wanting to cheer on the AHL squad will be able to pick up some affordable tickets. As of Sunday afternoon, Game 1 tickets are going for as cheap as $32 on Ticketmaster.
