Today at noon a giant 200-square-foot billboard completely wrapped in real 22-karat gold will be unveiled to promote Treasure, Science World’s latest summer attraction. When I first read this, I thought they were kidding, but apparently it is not.
The billboard was created by Vancouver’s Rethink Communications and cost a mere $11,000 to make (time and gold).
The billboard is located at West 4th Avenue at Anderson Street until Friday, close to Granville Island.[source]
The question is, how long before someone try’s to chip away some for themselves? They better get those budget security guards you see at banks these days to “protect” it.
