A Taste of the BBQ and Chilli Festival

Gastown hosts this week-end the 2nd Annual BBQ and Chilli Festival. This outdoor festival is all about delicious food, craft beer, live entertainment, DJs, and family fun. If you refuse to admit that summer is bowing out, this is the place to join hundreds in denial too. The atmosphere is festive, there is a porky smell in the air and no shortage of hot sauce. Paradise on earth would agree Gassy Jack!
BBQ and Chilli Tasting
Hungry festival-goers can sample different kinds of barbecued meat and chilli from over 12 Gastown restaurants. One token (4 for $10 or 10 for $20) buys you two chicken wings or pork ribs, a slice of beef brisket, a bowl of chili or a side dish. It is up to you — and to the four judges— to decide which ones are the best. To find out who takes home the award for the best ribs, wings, brisket and chili, stick around on Sunday evening for the Blarney Stone’s 4th Annual Labour Day Luau.
