A look inside the newly renovated Urban Thai Bistro in Yaletown

Dec 19 2017, 3:28 pm

Urban Thai Bistro opened its doors as Yaletown’s first Thai restaurant back in 2000. Since then, the chef and staff have been bringing authentic and innovative Thai dishes to the neighbourhood. This week, Urban Thai Bistro
reopened after a renovation. The space has a new warmth, due to the rich gold walls and dark wood floor. Accents such as the numerous imported gold Buddhist statues give the space a whole new energy. The lighting is elegant
and the lounge is a perfect place to relax before hitting up the Yaletown nightlife scene.

There is also a great bar area, perfect for watching sports, such as the Canucks playoff run. The giant circular VIP table is also new and is just waiting to host that special celebration or party with your family, friends or co-workers. The restaurant seats about 120, and that’s not including the heated patio.

The menu has been refreshed and features both new dishes as well as many beloved traditional Thai classics and all of the popular old Urban Thai menu items. Their $9 lunch menu is a hit with all of the neighbours and everyone working in the Yaletown area. Their Happy Hour menu also has something for everyone, with $3 Beer specials and appys starting at just $5. And they have made Happy Hour even happier, with new longer hours that now run from 3 – 6:30pm everyday! Perfect for a quick bite after work!
