UPDATED: Missing 8-year-old Vancouver boy found

UPDATED at 6:25 p.m.: Vancouver Police say Alex Paddle has been found safe. The initial release that deemed him as an missing individual was sent by police at 6:01 p.m. this evening.

EARLIER:

Vancouver Police are seeking the public’s help to find an eight-year-old boy who has been missing since this afternoon.

According to police, Alex Paddle was last seen near West 23rd Avenue and Highbury Street in the Vancouver Westside at approximately 5 p.m. He walked away from a friend’s home and has not been seen since.

He is described as 4’5″ tall with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey striped toque, a black sweater with a skeleton on it, blue pants and runners with a yellow stripe.

Anyone who sees the boy is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
