745 Thurlow Office Tower to Start Construction Soon

It seems as the Vancouver office boom is finally becoming a reality as a second project is about to commence. The project tentatively named 745 Thurlow (see our previous post on the project here) will replace the current parkade that sits across Vancouver’s tallest tower, the Shangri-La.

Today it was announced that McCarthy Tétrault, a Canadian law firm will be taking up close to 25% of the space in the building. Furthermore, word on the street is that a few more medium sized businesses are looking to take some space at 745 Thurlow as well. This announcement indicates that one should see  construction on this site within the next 6 -9 months, if not earlier.

This project with 1021 West Hastings and the Telus head office tower will bring about a mini renaissance in office construction in this city.
