72-year-old male killed in car rollover on Granville Street

Vancouver Police are investigating a car collision and rollover incident that has led to the death of a 72-year-old male driver.

Early this morning at approximately 7 a.m., the senior was driving a red Oldsmobile on the southbound lanes of Granville Street when he struck the curb and collided with a hedge near West 38th Avenue. The vehicle subsequently flipped upon impact.

The male was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. There were no other injuries or vehicles involved in the incident – the driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

Investigators have not revealed any other further details and are looking at whether the driver went into medical distress before losing control of his car.
