FEATURED EVENTS IN VANCOUVER
A Future for Memory: Art and Life After the Great East Japan Earthquake, February 11 to September 5, 2021
Join 7-Eleven and Slurpee Canada in #DancingTheSlurp, here’s how: https://7-eleven.ca/
7-Eleven Canada is celebrating their 50th year in Canada this year. Yes, the big 5-0!
50 years of Canadians getting their snack-fix, 50 years of building memories with Canadians young and old, and of course, 50 years of the iconic summer treat, the original Slurpee. And just in time for summer.
A fun 7-Eleven fact: Did you know that 7-Eleven created an original recording called “Dance The Slurp” on vinyl, with full step-by-step instructions included on how to do the dance back in the late ’60s? (Yes, that’s how long they’ve been around!)
On July 11, 7-Eleven will be celebrating 7-Eleven Day by giving away FREE Slurpee drinks across the country. In past years, 7-Eleven have handed out nearly 900,000 Slurpee drinks at locations all over Canada on the one day!

Try the new refreshing summer flavours in your nearest 7-Eleven (or even delivered to you with Uber Eats or Foodora) including the brand new Ghostbusters Green Apple Watermelon, Strawberry Blast, and of course, the rest of the classics. What are your favourite Slurpee flavours?
In celebration of their 50 years in Canada, 7-Eleven will have some seriously cool retro shirts available for purchase — and for you to win!
They will also be releasing an exclusive Snapchat experience for you to get involved and #DanceTheSlurp. Head to your local 7-Eleven to scan the Snap code to unlock the experience, and Dance The Slurp as a hippie, rock the Saturday Night Fever era, the bad fashion (or, good) of the ’80s with big hair and leg warmers! You get the idea
Follow Slurpee Canada on Instagram to join in on the fun this summer.
And to prove that we weren’t making up that whole Slurpee Song thing, we dug through YouTube to find the original track. You’re welcome.
