The Vancouver Events Calendar has more.

  • When: Thursday, December 3; 8 p.m.

Vancouver Canucks vs. Dallas Stars

Bell Witch

  • What: Seattle’s Bell Witch, doomiest of doom-metal bands, hits Cobalt tonight like a ton of angry, growling bricks. Headbangers, rip the sleeves off your t-shirts and lay out the day-after neck brace. You’re going to need them.

  • When: Thursday, December 3; 8 p.m.

Future Loss at Grunt Gallery

  • What: Tonight marks the opening of Future Loss, the new exhibit from Zoe Kreye at grunt gallery. Here’s a taste from the website: “Space, on this strip and in this city, is currency, and Kreye’s work reaches through overarching narratives of real estate, gentrification and speculation to consider the poetics of an individual’s connection to place.” Heavy stuff.
  • Where: grunt gallery –
  • When: Thursday, December 3; 12 to 5 p.m.

Mike Vecchione at the Comedy Mix

  • What: Born in Youngstown, Ohio, comedian Mike Vecchione won the People’s Choice Award for the New York Comedy Festival, was a semi-finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival. He’s been on the Tonight Show, and has a half hour special for Comedy Central.
