It’s hump day, which means it’s all down hill until the weekend. Get out and do something to congratulate yourself for making it this far.

Here are five things to do in Vancouver today, Wednesday, June 22.

Introduction to Drone Video

  • What: This two-hour workshop organized by DOC BC will feature a case-study of drone videography by Grant Baldwin, a director, cinematographer, editor, and composer based in Vancouver.
  • Where:  InFocus Film School – 306 Abbott Street, Vancouver
  • When: Wednesday, June 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm

Clothing Swap & Potluck

  • What: An all ages inclusive evening of community building and resource sharing, sharing clothes and dinner. Bring food to share, your own plate and cutlery and your contribution of clothes for the swap. All leftover clothes will be donated to charity.

New St. Paul’s Hospital phase 2 open house

  • What: See the preliminary design concepts for how the new St. Paul’s Hospital and integrated health campus could be developed and tell Providence Health Care and their designers what you think. You could help inform the end design.

The Glory of Italian Opera

Cooking Class: Frozen Desserts

  • What: For the 1st of the Summer Series, we will demonstrate how to create frozen desserts, without an ice-cream maker. You do need a couple things though: A blender (standing blender, food processor or immersion blender) and a mixer (stand mixer such as Kitchen-Aid or hand mixer, or really strong arms…)
